Gobert23
Q. Can anyone recommend an engineering shop or engine builder in Scotland or the North of England? The workshop that I'd normally deal with have said that they don't touch Ducati stuff now. Looking to get an idea of basic top-end re-build stuff, perhaps a set of piston rings and / or a set of valve stem seals. The only thing I've been told so far is 'you'll want to pick a budget, then double it' and 'you'll be wanting to replace the studs at the same time' Ta muchlies G
jaycee
Who did you use previously? I've been thinking the same for the Katana, but an old air-cooled IL4 isn't exactly as technical as that Ducati of yours

Lobo
How about Ian Murray out at Loanhead ? Never used them myself but Simon one of their mechanics used to work in C&J Wilsons in Uphall and is a great guy, really knows his stuff. They are now a Ducati factory authorised service centre. The only problem with being an 'authorised service centre' is that they also appear to carry Ducati 'menu' pricing. I'm not looking to be spending £1500+ just to get the top-end looked at. I mentioned Ian to Greg already, but I may possibly have another lead Cheers J, Gimme a shout this week if you're around for a brew...
