ianl1201
Anybody fitted them? How much of a difference did it make to the running or performance? Just pondering before I blob £170 on a set for the Bandit Ta
El Gringo
Got a set on my 1216 Oil Cooled, made starting with the higher compression much better than stock coils. The crimps are a bastard to fit without the proper tool
Evilchicken0
They help when the engine runs high revs too, Bloody chimps
ianl1201
Cheers chaps - top tip on the crimps - they're not plug and play then?
El Gringo
Mine weren't, the leads came as a standard length, I guess so you can cut to suit and then crimp the brass terminals on where they plug into the coils. The rubber boots that go over the coils at the connections are also a bastard to get on. Make sure you get the right coloured coils too, they have different body colours for different Ohmages (is that even a word?!)
ianl1201
Yeh, noticed there's different ohmages (good word made up or not!) Performance Suzuki parts are doing them as a set for the B12 so presumably they'll be the right ones. Have to be yellow leads too....dunno why it just looks right on the Bandit! An investment may be made soon!
