2Smoke
I'm after a bit more advice if possible.. When I stripped the motor on my SV, I didn't see a thrust shim on the end of the crank, nor the casings. Seems a bit odd, but it's definitely not there. Have measured the clearances as per manual, and I have .15mm (tight) gap between the right hand casing & the primary drive gear assembly. Whereas it should be .050-.110. So it's slightly out. But.. From the Suzuki manual, the thrust shim thickness starts at 1.925mm so with this fitted I doubt the crank would even rotate! Is it possible it's never had one fitted from new? Thoughts? theo
The Suzuki service manual for the injected SVs (up to 2006 anyway) doesnt mention a thrust washer either.
