2Smoke
Started stripping the SV engine ready for the manx, took the front cylinder off and spotted an oil stain. On closer inspection, it's no stain but either damage or a manufacturing defect! Any ideas? I'm guessing the bore is a steel liner, rather than plating.. Superdunc
Bottom of the front cylinder? Looks like water damage, the cylinder has been sat with water in it at some time and corroded.

Yup, you're the second to say that now so I guess so. Don't think it'll hone out either so a rebore/piston is on the cards
2Smoke
I'd love to mate, but I can get oversize piston kits for £60 from Suzuki with the ACU discount scheme so will be sticking them in. The other engine though, may well see some upgrades if it's not shagged!!
