NCSprinter30
I'm looking at getting a GPR steering damper for the blade. Now, are all the damper units the same and just fit to different bikes with a mounting kit or do the damper units differ depending on bike? I'm looking at a V4 as that's the most modern isn't it? Gmanb1h
Damper the same, just fitting kit. V4 is newest although the v3 will be cheaper.
heds954
Yup, damper the same whatever model of bike, the fitting kit is the difference. With the GPR's they usually have a kit that attaches to the damper that has a spigot, this clamps to your top yoke and then there's the rest of the kit which attaches to just under the front lip of the petrol tank. There's nowt wrong with the older versions, in the main they're just bigger and heavier than the newer v4.
NCSprinter30
Ah that's what I thought. Thanks for the info guys, any ideas where to get the fitting kits from?
heds954
Hmm, there used to be an official UK GPR dealer, but their website is no longer up... Maxton sell them, so drop them a line and see what they say, let me know what happens.
