jaycee
The LDD XJ900, when it was running, would only run on choke. Ive half-stripped the biek to try and find the electrical fault. In doing so, I noticed this.... Not exactly ideal is it? So my question is this? Can I patch this up with Araldite or similar? New intakes are way beyond economical so I'm stuck with what I have. thefatman
RTV instant gasket, liberally applied will sort it out. http://www.henkelna.com/industrial/product-search-1554.htm?nodeid=8797922295809
Gobert23
I'd be tempted to try and 'stick-a-fix' patch on there, the same as we'd use for an emergency repair on a sea kayak hull. My only worry might be whether it'd cope with the radiated heat (since it'd normally be under water...) As long as it's not drawin' in air, I wouldn't worry. Pack a tube of Araldite for the trip (along with zip-ties and gaffer tape)?
Phlik
Bathroom sealant and gaffa tape. If you're really skilled you could apply a couple of cable ties afterwards for the hat trick
Evilchicken0
How about heat resisting gasket - it's an orangey / red
