Tim Guy
Pulled my TLS out the garage after a 2 year lay off. Luckily (I think) I filled the tank up before I put her away. Pulling her out this week I looked into the filler and the horizontal plate inside was tarnished. If I ran my finger over it then it feels gritty and my finger is a brownish colour. I drained half the fuel out, removed the tank and gave it a good 10 min shake. The horizontal is a lot better but still gritty, I drained the fuel out into the sink and its got a fine gritty wash at the bottom, nothing big or heavy. Do you think I could get away with doing this a few times with fresh fuel? I really don't want to take to fuel pump off, that's a 20quid gasket straight away. Thoughts?
