spannerman Posted April 12, 2014 Report Share Posted April 12, 2014 need some help with this one. got some keihin cvk carbs and the motor will only run on choke even then it only runs on full choke, so ive swapped the jets and needles diaphrams etc. onto a spare set of bodies and the bike now runs normal but the idle is 3000 this is with the idle screw backed right off so where do i look now pilot jet, mixture screws? they are 2and a quarter turns out at the moment and the bike is a zxr 400 edited to add that the engine is faultless on my sons carbs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

spannerman Posted April 13, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 13, 2014 nice call and would probably be right in 99 percent of cases however the butterfly on carb no 2 was open by a fannys hair, a slight adjustment and its fine obviously the term fannys hair is very 1970's and i cant think of a more recent analagy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
