3tj6
Hi all im in the process of building a fzr 3tj hybrid for trackdays ,only I have a problem with an exhaust stud previously it has been snapped off breaking part of the casting away, somebodys bodgged it up by drilling into the head and tapping it out but in doing that have gone into cylinder heads oilway ,I have tried to fix it with chemical metal, and replacing the stud this worked ok until engine got up to temperature .then oil started dripping from the stud again .anybody any other ideas how to fix it other than having it welded up and retapping it ,thanks in advance jon
Beanerno1
If you can get to the inside oil way and block it somehow you could use some easyweld, then just stick the stud back and it'll leave a nice theaded hole,
Superdunc
Pile of copper washers between the head and exhaust flange.A bodge, but it might just work.
