chirpy999
Hi I want to remove the carb to airbox rubbers from the airbox on my 81 gpz. I then intend to use the wintergreen oil method as described in practical sportbikes mag no 27 to soften them before reinstallation.I have been prying with a largish flat blade screwdriver an d managed to free one of the end rubbers but it wont come out of the airbox.I am thinking a heat gun might be the answer , anyone got any advice? Rick448
Can you get some GT85, WD40 or similar in there to help lubricate it?
bignige
How much are new ones as a matter of interest?
thefatman
You are correct that a heatgun is the answer. For refitting them a smear of silicone brake grease works wonders.
