tonk
Spring clean. Plastic off. Everything is nice.... 'cept the rad, it absolutely totes gopping! Nearly solid with crud, esp down the centre. I can see flies. I can see manure. I can see mud and salt and gravel and sand. I think there's a small plastic toy in there, shredded and melted (its got eyes). But it also looks pretty fragile so that's why I'm asking before I go poking or squirting with naughty things and end up calling my mum in tears. Romski
I did my mates ktm enduro radiators in the ultrasonic cleaners at work and they came up like new. No harsh scrubbing on the fins.
kaighn80
How much crud did you then have to remove from the ultra sonic cleaner after? Or is there a process?
tonk
I don't want to take the rad off and if I unclip the fan and shroud behind it there's a lot of room cos of the steep cylinder head angle. It's all ready to go but the fins look so delicate so I thought I'd ask before bending them or putting the wrong chemical on (presume its aluminium?) Romski
How much crud did you then have to remove from the ultra sonic cleaner after? Or is there a process? The bike was washed and then pulled apart and then in the tanks. Grass, mud and crud came out in the ultrasonic cleaner. Even the internals looked spotless.
