drunkn munky
So no point attempting at home with anything then?
kanerdog1x1
if they look like they need cleaning, then its folly to think you can do it by hand. if they look ok-ish, it'd still be a pita to get them looking mint.
dansp1
I have had great success with mild acid on stainless pipes, worth a try?

Damnthistinleg
I've had good results with an orbital sander followed by one of those foam pads with a very fine grit embedded in it but by Christ, it made my arms ache. This was on stainless pipes, however. On the plus side, I can now wank myself into oblivion at the drop of a hat.
jollygiant
If it Ti has it just 'blued'? On my old stainless pipes I found a polishing kit you fitted to your drill with 3 different grade mops and soap was brilliant and only cost about £25. I'm presuming this would work just as well on Ti?
