fredator
Hello, as I am using clip-ons on my gsxr1000k4 trackday bike ... I could do with a sligthly shorter clutch cable for better routing. Does anyone know if other gsxr´s have a shorter clutch cable (about 3-4 centimeters ... thats 3 feet and two toes in english measurements ?) :-) I am assuming most gsxr´s have the same ends on the clutch cable. Thanks, Peter
dansp1
I normally go the opposite way (fitting Renthals) my normal way is to take the cable into a half decent shop and say "this +....." they rummage through hundreds of cables and find what I need. My guess is decent bike shops are few and far between in Finland. doesnt the bike have clipons as standard?
thefatman
Venhill sell a kit so you can make one yourself, or if you phone/email them the measurements they can make one for you. http://www.venhill.co.uk/Cables_-_Components_&_Kits/Universal_Cable_Kits
fredator
Thanks for the replies ... might be tempted to go the Venhill route :-) Yes, we have bike shops here in Finland, but generally they don´t "stockpile" parts ... they order them (and suzuki parts in Finland simply doesn´t exist ... I prefer to order on the web). And the bike does come with clip ons as standard, but I prefer a different riding position and adjust the clip ons in a way that simply makes the clutch cable do some odd "angles" and this in turn makes it quite stiff ... I have bent the metal part that comes out of the clutch lever more straight ... and it is better, but not perfect :-) best regards, Peter
