srad34
Hi all, I have just bought a used Johnson Carbon can for my blade, I always wanted one back in the day and the bike seems to run a lot better with it fitted too. Its in good nick and really well made, but the carbon is a little faded and where the decal was its a darker shade. It looks like it has a very thin coating of lacquer, you can feel the weave in the carbon. What the best way to bring it back to life? Any tips? Cheers guys
lorenzo
Rub with some very fine wet & dry, then a coat of lacquer, like you would do if you're trying to refresh some bodywork. If the lacquer's lifted, pick away any debris, splodge some clear araldite in there, then do the sanding/lacquer thing again.
