vale
Got a mate with a early 60k mile Hornet with a fault. It hits what you could say a brick wall at around 7000rpm, i mean it will not rev past whatsoever. The plugs, coils and leads where changed and it made it better as in reving past but now it's back. Any suggestions.

vale
no it's been a reliable bike. i've now stripped the carbs ready for a clean in the morning. i did take it out earlyer and it seem like it was flooding at higher revs, just hesitating. i was thinking tps on the side of the carb. i did read on another site that it runs not plugged in but at higher revs its abit shitty. mattbloke
I has EXACTLY the same problem on a customers bike. Change the air filter and it should be fine :-)
vale
sorted, it seems like the last guy who worked on it didn't tighten up the inlet rubber clamps on all 4 inlets, so when it was getting hot they got soft and suck air in.
