Adam
While trying to rectify a fault with the front indicators on the R1 (4XV) I switched the ignition on without remembering to reconnect the bike white plug in the head fairing. Now the EXUP servo continually cycles through its self diagnostic. I've tried to reset it to no avail. Any ideas?
MonkeyJim
Fit a full system. it's the only way to be sure.
Adam
That would be lovely but I doubt I could stretch to that at the minute.
MonkeyJim
sorry ;-) AFAIK, whether the clocks are connected or not shouldn't affect the exup servo. out of interest, are the clocks showing displaying an exup error code? ie. the needle will flick up to 7k or 8k temporarily (I can't remember what code is shown by what revs - I think it also displays a TPS error and a fuel warning light error, IIRC) I'd check the wiring under the tank and make sure the exup servo is properly connected to the loom, IIRC (again) there's two connectors
trackdaybob
Rev counter flicking up to 7000 rpm is the TPS error. From memory I think it's 4000 rpm for an exup fault.
