couchcommando Posted June 17, 2013 Report Share Posted June 17, 2013 I've replaced many fork seals before but after doing one leg on my NC30 the second one is not playing, sliding the leg apart quickly and after loads of attempts the seal just isn't moving, the other fork was fine and yeah I've double checked I've got the circlip out Do I just keep going hoping it will give way eventually or any other tips ? You can try clamping the fork back in the yokes on the bike, that holds it more firmly for sliding them apart, also if you put the axle through the lower then you can hit that with a rubber mallet to knock them apart.
