Bringing A Bike Out Of Hibernation

Bike has been sat for 3 years, new battery fitted and it wont start. The battery fully charged, the engine just wont fire. I assume fuel is the problem?

Will running some motul fuel system cleaner clear it? Would you drain the engine and replace oil and filter too?

Thanks Levo, is fuel injected. It started last week and was running fine if a bit smokey, so I turned it off, few days later the battery was drained (which I put down to a weak battery being drained by the immobliser). Hoping its just injested some of the bad fuel.

A injector type cleaner would be good .....but I reckon a clean out of the fuel tank ,a gallon of shell super/.optimax/v power and she will light up with ease.

Did you clean the tank out?

Did you use new fuel?

Did you use the whole tin of cleaner in the tank?

New plugs?

Try new plugs

Clean out the tank

Brand new fuel

Spray easy start in the air box and try again
