Spacer Material

Hi All

Just wanted to check something with the material gurus.

I need to make some reducers to take a rear caliper bracket, wheel spacers and sprocket carrier bearing insert from 25mm to 20mm diameter.

It's so i can run a wheel that currently has a 25mm spindle on a 20mm spindle, i have found the bearings but wanted to know if standard 6082 T6 ally tube will be ok to use as inserts for the various reducers?

I can probably remake the actual wheel spacers but the caliper bracket and bearing insert need reducing too.

Would it be ok?

Cheers

Chris

yes, 6082t6 (HE30) will be fine, its the most common 'engineering' grade ally so most places will have lumps of it laying around.
