franky
I'm thinking about building a seat unit on my zrx project. Has anyone done it before by making a buck etc? Would I be on a hiding to nothing?

franky
not self supporting, just a fibreglass unit. exactly the same shape as the original side and rear units but then to come forward with a single seat, keeping the original lines etc.... rossm
In that case it's a cas of getting out the fibreglass, the only real thing to be worried about is making the mold from the orginal as you can end up damaging the paintwork on it, so best if you can get another to use (maybe a slightly rashed up one from the bay of fleas for example)
tsp
I was thinking about making one for my cafe racer. I wonder if ply wood could be used, if a mold was made from that?
