Cuzza
Is it possible to have the existing fitting on the end of my braided brake lines replaced? My track Tuono has had a radial front end upgrade and the existing braided hoses are fine at the caliper end but at the master cylinder end the banjo fitting needs to be a straight one to marry up with the master cylinder rather than the 90 degree one it has for the old, axial master cylinder. Don't want to shell out on new lines if I can have the fitting changed. Who could do this sort of thing, assuming it's possible? Ta muchly Jon
blur1
It's possible on Fren-tubo lines as they come with screw-in swivel banjos. If you have a 'fixed' banjo, then 'maybe' you could have yours cut off, sent away and redone.
bignige
Do you mean one if these? Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=230916329127

Superdunc
Yes it is. If I were doing it I would buy one of these http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p2925/GOODRIDGE-BANJO-WITH-3/8-HOLE-IN-STAINLESS-STEEL/product_info.html, and cut the old one off. However as brakes are fairly critical to your well being, I'd see if you could find a local race shop, or possible a local hydraulic line specialist, to fit one for you. Edit: I've just looked on youtube to see if I can find a decent tutorial on how to do this. The videos I did find amused and horrified me in equal measure. Be warned!!! Many thanks for this, it made me realise that my next door neighbour (who's garden I built my house in!) owns a hydraulics company! Will knock on his door tonight and see what he can do ;-)

Cuzza
Thanks for that Bignige, just the job. Ordered one today! Spoke with hydraulics company owning neighbour and adaptor was the cheapest option. Cheers Jon
bignige
Cool, got one on mine, works a treat. As long as you order the right thread size.. :-)
dai1984
Let me know how you get on. I considered a MC upgrade for my R1 and wrote the idea off due to the added cost of new lines. Still got the itch for one it seems!
