Twin Shock Conversion.

This might seem a bit of an odd question so bare with me!

Would it be feasable to convert the rear suspension on TL1000s to twin shock?

Surely it can't be any worse than the rotary unit fiited as standard?

Shall i get me coat?

Its not as daft as suggestion as it may seem, there was a guy in Wales converting bikes to twin shock (was his name Caffrey??)as he swore the early monoshock bikes were no good. Just be aware the subframe would need beefing up though. Have you considered the Wilburs shock though?

Revs racing in Birmingham are the UK agents, worth a look.

I've checked them out on the bay. Look good.

They must work, the last generation Rotary Norton and the Roton used them.

I like the look and the simplicity of them.

The thing with a twin shock is down to the 2 units needing to be balanced, each one has to have the same performance as the other. Monoshocks of course don't need this balance so you remove a variable from the equation. Of course 2 shocks will cost more than 1 and then you'll need to factor the convertion costs.

Get a monoshock conversion, it's cheaper and will work a lot better
