3tj6 Posted December 3, 2012 Report Share Posted December 3, 2012 hi all,my 3xv has been stood for years,ive stripped the engine and split the cases,the crank appears to be good ,no play in the bearings and no corrosion,but i want to change all the seals,the outer ones are easy,but the seal on the crank will want doing too.can anybody recommend a good reputable place to do this .im in the uk and would prefer a company that has good knowledge of these cranks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
porter_jamie Posted December 3, 2012 Report Share Posted December 3, 2012 your local yamaha dealer? i can recommend the one in lincoln, he did my rd crank and it lastest loads longer than the time i took it to the place near the M1 (sep?) - i used to race a forgotten era rd400 are you sure there actually is a seal, and it isnt a labyrinth seal?
