Marge
I'm trying to rebuild a 1998 ish YZ 125. The barrel etc had already been removed (always a joy) as it had broken the exhaust port bridge. I've got the barrel back from resleeving, complete with a new wossner piston kit. I ordered a little end bearing from wemoto, but the little end bearing has a 16mm ID and the piston pin has a 15mm OD. The little end bearing is also too long to fit in the piston. As i'm new to MX bikes, does anyone know if the bearing should protrude from the sides of the rod, and if so, how far?
Gregorious77
Piston or little end bearing sounds wrong? if the little end bearing fits in the con rod but the gudgeon pin is 1mm smaller there must be a problem. Little end bearings will protrude from the con rod as there is a bit of clearance for the inside of the piston.
