What i did was to measure the resistance at the sensor between the pin on the end of the sensor and the body of the sensor, and it was out of tolerance by a good distance. I don't think what it's grounded on make a huge difference there, does it? Of course, the resistance of between the sensor and the water pump or whatever makes a difference to the gauge reading, but the fact remains, my sensor's out of whack and that'll be what's making the most part of the extra resistance. Of course, after 20 odd years, I suspect the gauge is a bit inaccurate too... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
