crayons
After spending an hour fiddling to go from bad brakes to none, I figured it was time to consult the forum experts. So what's your trick for filling & bleeding a rear brake with one of those HRC style tiny little hose reservoirs?
radiobloke
same as a normal res. did it on my zxr750 last week. took 15 mins. sounds like you've got a leak or something?
theo
Exactly the same as the normal reservoir. But Im removing the fuckin thing and returning to standard as I cut the bastard to long and it touches the underseat exhaust and has nearly melted the cap off. srad34
I use a syringe (One of the ones you get in a ink cartridge refill kit), keep topping the hose up whilst bleeding. These hoses tend to sweat, is it old or newly fitted, as per Radiosbloke, have you got a leak?
crayons
Aah thanks, the syringe idea got me thinking. I hooked up a regular plastic reservoir at the top of the tube and fitted a vaccuum pump to the nipple. Managed to flush the whole thing easily and job jobbed. It managed to hold a vaccuum so I hope that means seals are still good ?
