Hellbound1967
When I turn the ignition on, the tachometer needle went all the way around to the 1800hrs position.....when it runs, it wants to continue going in the proper direction, but hits the needle rest point from the bottom. What have I done to get to this point? I had taken the fairing off and disconnected the turn signals so I could replace the head bearings. They're done and assembled. I also removed the sprocket cover off and changed to a 15 tooth. Done and was cleaned of the chain lube sludge before it was put back together. I thought it was just a straight-forward task, as i have taken these things off before for cleaning or storage. I have just taken it all apart again, but I cannot see any loose or missing wires from where I was working around. Where should I look, or what should I be cleaning and reassembling? **OK...I've put a spare US cluster on and the tach works fine...............but how do I fix the original???
