Bungle
I have a K6 rear shock which I am having trouble trying to set up. Can anyone explain what adjusters do what as I think I have been turning them the wrong way & are getting high & low damping mixed up. I do not have a manual to check against so a decent explanation would be great. Thanks.

Ok no problem The Locknuts which you use a C spanner on is for your PRE-LOAD (Spring tension, based on your weight) The Adjuster on the top reservoir is for your COMPRESSION DAMPING (Advanced damping control, speed the spring squashes) The adjuster on the Bottom of the shock is for REBOUND DAMPING (Advanced damping control, speed the spring returns to normal after been squashed) Both the compression and the rebound are a part of DAMPING. Suspension set up goes into far more detail but these are the basics for your shock. Have a look for rider & static sag as well as this will help set up the bike to your weight. Thanks for the in depth reply, but it was actually the high low speed damping adjusters I was unsure about. I have just done a bit of digging & found the blue upper adjuster is high speed & the screw adjuster is low speed. I am re springing the shock & fitting it to another bike but was unsure where a base setting is with the standard shock. Thanks anyway.
