Interesting, something I hadn't really thought of, was that with these cylinders I'm running RM pistons, and I've had to remove .8mm off the base of the barrel due to a slightly shorter pin-crown distance. This will mean a different timing advance?

You have just dropped port timing doing this. I would be marking say 1,1.5 or 2mm BTDC on both cylinders and strobing each cylinder. Preferably on a dyno under a bit of load.

But the stock cylinder works fine, well, a ported one that runs a standard cylinder anyway.

I need some dyno time really, not had this problem before.

Burette is here, when I get an hour spare I'll get the engine on the bench, fit the other cylinder and attempt some measuring. Got 2 trackdays and 1 race meet, then my season is over for this year!

Got a photo from Aintree, almost looks like I have a clue of what I'm doing!

my god................................you have no eyes, but you do have a ambo in prep (i dont go anywhere without my own nurse..................or what ever she decides she is that day)
