riversbikes
An odd question, but kinda makes sense considering where I live. Will an aircooled xt600 bolt into a belgarda szr660 frame? The reason I ask is: 1. szr660 have never been sold in canada 2. the only 660 yam engine is one out of a raptor atv, and came with a reverse gear! 3. xt600 engines are relatively easier to find, cheaper, and have considerable tuning potential due to US dirt trackers 4. I can get a szr660 frame, swingarm linkage and tank shipped to canada from germany or the uk, and then put a us=sourced engine in it. Complicated, yes, but it worked with my mito supermoono I know the tt600 engine pivots on the swingarm -- hence a good choice for the mito, bu the xt600 engine has two bolts on either side of where the swingarm would pivot. I am assuming that the cases for the aircooled engine would be the same as those for the liquid cooled 660... thanks
Kayla
I don't know for sure, but I'm looking for either an XT600 to build an air cooled SZR with or a later XT660R to take the water cooled FI lump from and stick it in an SZR frame. I'll let you know what happens if I get there first!
