Will a 2001 5jj rear seat unit be the same as a 98 4xv? are any of the fairing parts the same? gsxr renegade Posted February 21, 2012 Report Share Posted February 21, 2012 5jj is not the same as a 4xv seat unit, they look similar, but the area where the seat unit bolt to the frame by the tank is slighty different, meaning it wont fit unless you cut it slightly. MonkeyJim Posted February 25, 2012 Report Share Posted February 25, 2012 Yes. The side fairing panels and bellypan are interchangeable between 4xv & 5JJ, although the graphics may be different. The petrol tanks are interchangeable but you need a rider's seat to match the tank.
