wil.co.
Does anyone know of anyone in the UK or, well basically not Japan, that does the chain catchers used in endurance racing? failing that, if I were to get one fabricated, then drill into the swingarm and insert threads, how much, if at all, would this weaken the swingarm? it's on an SP-1 btw. Cheers ladies n gents!
gixerboy1
I could machine one up for about £25 including anodising.
SeXV
I used the current thread for the hugger/chainguard on my ZX6R, and used a long alu spacer bolted down with a little pin bent to hold the chain, does the job. Wouldn't mind getting a trick looking one made up though.
Cibbersicks
Muwahaha... Sorry that doesn't help does it? I've used one OE fitment riv-nut designed for the original chain guard, then drilled and fitted another one a little further down. I'm lucky enough to own a pukka Japanese TSR job, TSR use these on their Suzuka spec endurance bikes. It won't weaken the swingarm as long as it's done correctly of course. I've seen small threaded bosses even welded into the swingarm for even more strength.
Timbo S2
As its only for holding he chain whilst wheel changing, could one not be glued to the swingarm?

kaighn80
most pugeots are glues together, windscreens are glued in, its what you ask of the glue really so yes you could glue it in place using sikoflex (or as my dad calls it stick'o'flex) or something similar and i think you can get alloooooominium coloured one too. Timbo S2
I played football with several guys who work at Lotus. A favourite joke was to use chassis glue to adhere fellow workers lunch boxes to workbenches, walls, ceilings etc. what a hoot. I'd never buy a lotus glued together by that lot...
