Valve Spring Compressor

I've not used a valve spring compressor before, so don't know how universal they are and which type is easiest to use confused.gif

Would I be better off with the 'lever' type like this, or maybe the 'screw' type sets like this one?

Depends what engine your using it for? Best one i found for an R1 was this one, still had to modify it slightly because its a 5 valve head and the stationary end was slightly too big. I cut a few mm out either side and compressed to make it the right size.

Hope this helps

Depends on the size of the head in question, I used the screw type one on a R125 head, gives a very controlled release, ideal for small and fiddly. On bigger stuff I use my car lever one, but the release is not as controlled so make sure you have the collets where you want them.
