ccubed
Lidl have these coming on sale on Thursday. 116 PSI 25 Litres tank 270 l per min which is about 10 CuFt per min I think Sounds quite good for £80. Anyone had experience of them?
thefatman
Works well but noisy, very noisy. All the small ones are though. Good for blowing up tyres, impact gun and other less air hungry tools. You can't go wrong with the 3 year guarantee though. Then after three years you might want to buy a more expensive belt driven version that'll last the rest of your life and be quieter as well. Also stock up on air tools from there as well. I'd start with an impact gun, die grinder, cut off tool and possibly a hvlp spray gun as well. They normally sell the tools around the same time as the compressor. Timbo S2
I bought an Aldi one. Its fine for what I use it for, and tend to use it whenever im tinkering in the garage. But ITS NOISY!
originalracingsnake
Yes, they are noisy, but you can help that by isolating it from the floor with rubber feet. I have used a squash ball araldited to the foot near the front, and the wheels are checked on HD foam. This also stops it dancing across the floor... Was going to house it in an insulated box with a vented lid, but that would only be good for short bursts of use due to the heat that would build up. TBH, I can put up with the noise fro the use it gets.

kaighn80
dentistry compressors are the best quality you could buy but they aren't cheap and will prolly need a bigger reserve tank. tool station will be your friend for air tools (and loads of other bits like fasteners and such) also air lines are good from them too, they do a flexible 15m long one for about £11 (there or there abouts anywho) i have one in the workshop and will be getting one for at home. edited cos im a twat sometimes.
