Battery Sizes

The YTX14-BS battery in my Falco died recently, and due to the courier pissing about the new one hasn't been delivered yet.

I need to use the Aprilia to head down to the south coast this weekend, and I've got a good condition YTX9-BS from the SZR I can swap over.

Any idea if it'll do the job for one journey? I just don't want to knacker the battery, or the sprag clutch in the ape!

The other option is to charge the duff battery before going and before coming back, but that leaves me at risk of getting stranded on the way somewhere. And those big twins are a bastard to bump!

True. I think it's a better option than the fucked standard battery anyway.

I'll give it a good charge overnight, fingers crossed the new battery turns up tomorrow.

The smaller battery should be just fine, it's cold cranking power that is critical, so if the smaller battery is fresh and starts the bike readily, then you are not running into trouble.
