alexp5
Pour a couple of litres of cheap Happy Shopper cola into it and let it stand for a few days. Or vinegar. Seriously. Try it... you might be surprised Or paraffin and a handful of nuts and bolts and give it a good shake. Or the pricey alternative: http://www.frost.co.uk/automotive-tanks-pr...repair-kit.html Good luck

kaighn80
spent a grand total of £2.04 on asda cola, and didnt think it would work. here is the first picture, pretty grotty, i added 6 bottles of cola, which means the tank holds about 12l of fuel and 2 stroke oil, left it a few hours and i was greated with this same part of the bike but now with less rust, so now i will add the other 6 bottles and see what happens in the morning. Hendo
Somehow managed to miss this thread. Ive also been in the process of cleaning the inside of a tank up, mainly just surface rust, it wasnt too bad really. I left it bubbling away on the electrolysis for a week (google it, there is loads of info), then just finished it up with the POR15 kit this morning. Its come up almost as new. Results of the electrolysis - I cleaned it twice a day, it took a while but eventually there was less and less rust showing.
