budda Posted May 11, 2011 Report Share Posted May 11, 2011 Followed the alarm removal thread, now I'm stumped! Started removing my datatool alarm as it got wet during a wash and has fried itself, plus I didn't wanna get stuck in the middle of nowhere. So the situation is this, I have removed all the wires that were tacked onto the main wires and re-connected the coloured wires together again with no problems so far, I was quite pleased with myself. So I was left with the two blocks that have been slaved into the loom by the alarm installer (I think), so there's 2 black wires with grey dashes on them both coming out of both blocks (4 wires in total) 3 of them have coloured markers on them yellow, white, green and one without. It looks like 2 of them go off to connector blocks onto the ECU, and the forward two to god knows what, 4 wires in total. Thing is if I bridge these wires it tries to hot wire the bike, so I don't think I'm far off. Can anyone help, or advise a way forward, I'm in south Oxfordshire and would be eternally grateful.
