RealityRSV
just want some advice on whether its a good idea to mess around fitting new leads to a set of coils. this is to do with my mates bandit which has incorrectly fitting coils but good leads. i have a set of coils that should fit better but the leads are poor. are some coils sealed units? can i do this myself or should i have someone competant do it? have checked ebay... a pair of coils and leads works out at more than £40 at best, personally i think tims shelled out enough on the shonky P.O.S already. if you need me to take piccies let me know and i'll sort that out tomorrow.... cheers
blow_away
If the bike runs OK I'd leave them alone, especially if it is a POS moneypit. Check them by running the bike in the dark, have a good look under the tank and make sure it doesn't look like Guy Fawkes night
RealityRSV
bike doesn't run at the moment.... but i take it i could see something just cranking it over in the dark, worth a go then.
DrBoom
The standard bandit coils are sealed. Dyna coils are the way forward (£99 a set on ebay) And for the bandit, go for the green 3ohm ones...
