scoot
Hey all,I was hoping someone could help me out with some factory specs for a '05 zx636 forks. Does anyone know what weight fork is used? The original air gap? The spring rate? The reason being is that I've got a set that I'm gonna stick on my Rgv project. Being that the zx636 is roughly 30kg heavier, obviously a lighter set of springs and a re-valve would be ideal. But budget dosn't permit,so I was thinking if I use a lighter oil and mess with the air gap that might put me somewhere in the ball park.
Lobo
Just had a quick look at the Kawasaki workshop manual. Can't find anything there that mentions the spring weight or rate but can give you some other info you're after.......... (think the microfiche may be able to give you more info on the spring) Fork Oil Weight : SAE 5W Fork Oil Level (fully compressed without spring measured from the top of the inner tube) : 109 +/-2mm Fork Oil Amount : Approx 360ml (426 +/- 2ml after disassembly and completely dry) Fork Spring Free Length : 247.6mm (service limit 243mm) Hope this helps.
