fatfuk
My speedo on my 95 blade (electronic) seems to have gone pearshaped. When I switched on yesterday it spun round to the stop and only came back as far as 160 mph. So to recap. with no ignition it sits at 160mph. with ignition on it hits the stop. any ideas anyone? VanWinkle
Maybe the speed sensor has some crap on it, or a bare wire?..tank off job and follow the wiring to the crank case mate.
wavydavy
<makes sucking sound through teeth> Sorry guv, sounds like the bike's fucked. fatfuk
I would imagine it was a short. Bike cut ou on me the other day about 50 miles from home. traced it back to a corroded wire, had to hot wire my own bike to get home! so hope the speedo is an easy fix. off to investigate soon. kaighn80
dont suppose its been happening since you had to hotwire it?
fatfuk
right....had the whole lot apart. The speedo is dead. The sensor and everything else is ok. but the speedo itself is kaput. Anyone got a spare set of clocks for a 94-95 fireblade they want to donate?
