exuprob Posted March 23, 2011 Report Share Posted March 23, 2011 Hmmmmm a proper 'Oh bugger' moment today then. I managed to crack my oil filler cap on my '99 R1 so replaced the crappy plastic standard item with a Pro bolt alloy item......with me so far? I then noticed today that the oil cap was still weeping a bit so had a closer look and it looks like the O ring was a little too large so it got pinched between the cap and the clutch cover. I nipped it back up and rode home. BUT I got back, removed the cap and NO FECKIN O RING......... Where'd it go? I guess its off with the clutch cover and have a root around. What happens if I cant find it though.......It may have come adrift when I screwed it back in or when I removed the cap at home I suppose but whats worst case?
