Bungle
When polishing fork bottoms to a high shine on standard way up stanchions, is it best to clear lacquer them afterwards or just keep up with them using autosol? I was thinking maybe the lacquer would lift or the ally would corrode underneath.

Autosol is beast and will only take you a few mins each polish to keep it looking nice.

Evilchicken0
Actually it's best ues a mop and proper metal polish. Usually there two grades one seals the metal and other will finish it. Once it's done you can refinish it every so often, it's faster and gives a better look than autosol.
