szrdave
I'd like to measure the pressure drop in the airbox of my bike, partly for a bit of testing but mainly out of interest. Can anyone suggest a method that's small and robust enough to mount inside the airbox or through the airbox wall, with an output that can be downloaded onto a PC, or onto my phone which has a mini-USB connection? There are some nice data acquisition systems about that do this kind of thing, but when it comes to cost I'm thinking more Maplins than MoTec! fran9r
Have you looked at the late, great John Robinson's book? I seem to remember he rigged something up.

thefatman
You need a map sensor that you can get from nearly every fuel injected car/bike. This outputs a 0-5 volt signal depending on the pressure. You then need a data logger to record it. http://www.microdaq.com/lascar/usb-voltage-data-logger.php http://proto-pic.co.uk/products/AVR-Stick.html http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/dl_32.php
