Dom
Good afternoon Gentlemen (and Gents). Quick question for you, probably a rather obvious one too: I have just acquired a DNA air filter for my ZX10 and in the box is the filter (woo!), a little tub of red stuff (rubber grease?) and the instructions, which read: "Apply a small amount of grease to all the sealing and contact areas of the filters" So, does this mean spread the gunk AROUND the filter frame, but not the filter itself? It looks like it has a rubber seal so I'm assuming it is rubber grease. I'm not supposed to oil it or summink?! Think I've answered my own question, but as I spunked £50 on the new filter I'd rather not shaft the thing before it's even fitted! Thanking you. tonk
Just where it seats in the airbox - helps the seal and stops it perishing (imagine the airflow and heat cycles it will be subject to, enough to dessicate the rubber).
