burntout
planning to strip the front forks on my R1, replace the oil and springs with something better suited to my weight so... does anyone know the diametre of the damper adjuster rod, thus allowing me to create a slotted washer to hold the spring / spacer compressed whilst I remove the top bolt. You can get kits @ £70 from KTech but I doubt I'd ever use it again so intend to make them a la Haynes workshop manual. Cheers
burntout
Too specific I guess. I'll just wait until I get in there, measure it, and rustle one up at the time then!

Give MCTechnics a call, I'm sure they'll be able to tell you. If not I'll have a look in my Haynes manual later, I think there might be a pic of one in there with dimensions... burntout
I was having to go from the photo myself. I should be able to guess the overall washer dia. from the pics though and that should be enough for now. Thanks for trying.
