paul8899
I am thinking of making an offset front sprocket but I am unsure as to which material to use. I have seen that they are normally about hardened to 35rc so are they made out of tool steel or are they case hardened mild steel ?
alexp5
Renthal say: 'RENTHAL front sprockets are made from case hardened and core refined 655M13 Nickel Chrome Molybdenum alloy steel to give the ultimate combination of strength and hardness.' These folks can sort out offset sprockets: http://www.powerlinks.co.uk/sprockets.html Don't know if this is of any use to you?

Tomfoolery
B&C Express can help you too, with material information if you don't want to buy one.
paul8899
Cheers , I'll give B+C a call and let you all know what they say . I found a neat little program that outputs a Gcode program for sprockets. All you have to do is put the chain width and required teeth and it outputs the profile program. I'll give it a go in a couple of weeks. Its called sprocketeer
