Jowen
my 2007 r6 has done 3100 miles it had full history when i bought it, so in my opinion it has been looked after. Thing is when changing gear sometimes i get a loud sort of thud rather than a click, i know they are meant to be more abrupt from first to second but even this is more ov a battle than i wouldhave thought, anyone have he same problem? should i take it to where i got it from? also the bike feels a bit 'wobbly' on the rear, i have only done four hundered miles since i have had it but i have not adjusted the chain yet. could this be why? any help appreciated i know these are probably newbie questions but i need help. thanks J
MonkeyJim
but i have not adjusted the chain yet. could this be why? Yes it could well be. Check the chain tension and adjust as necessary. also check the rear wheel alignment while you're on with the chain. If you're not sure how to do either then ask - both very easy and something you should be able to do yourself. Unlikely it's a clutch or gearbox problem on such a recent bike with such low mileage. Feeling 'wobbly at the rear' then you should also check your tyre pressures.
