southwestbiker Posted August 30, 2010 Report Share Posted August 30, 2010 After reading the "SRAD airbox mod" thread, ive spent a bit of time browsing the net looking for completed pictures of the cut away airbox for the carb model. However, along with cutting the airbox, another mod it appears a lot of people seem to be doing is cutting the a wire to act as a basic TRE. Now, im all up for a little fiddle with my bike, and if i can make it better for free, thats perfect, but this seems a little TOO easy. Anyone done it? Can anyone vouch for it working properally? speedy sie Posted August 30, 2010 Report Share Posted August 30, 2010 lots of talk about this mod,well quick snip,well my view is it will weken the mix low down,and to be honest if you have the bike set up right you wont need to cut the wire,only time i would cut the wire is on the dyno,to lean it up,for the run,but on the road,id give it a miss.
