southwestbiker
Lost a pipe between my carbs and the airbox on my 96 GSXR SRAD. Anyone know what the diamater of it is, because im not really keen on paying suzuki. Its the bit that comes off the rail on the back of the carburettors and goes up to the lug on the back of the airbox. Because it doesnt take fuel or anything like that, am I ok using any pipe, so long as it is makes a decent seal?
wazrs257
I'd just whip the carbs off, measure the boss that the hose goes on & buy a length of silicone hose.
lorenzo
I'm guessing that it's one of the pipes that do the whole air pressure balancing thingy for the ram air and unless you're going above about 70 you won't notice much at all, and if you're going over about 130 or something then it'll be running pretty lean. Only a guess though. Anyway do like he says, just measure the size and get some from a local auto spares shop, shouldn't be any more than a fiver and you'd probably get a couple of meters of it for that. gook184
^^ Exactly this. Minutes after arriving home with your shiny new length of hose you'll find the original bit.
