Zakalwe
Why do simple, easy jobs ALWAYS become PITA jobs??? The brake pads were on the wear limits so I planned to change them before I go to Ireland and Scotland at the end of the month.. Got a set from David Silver delivered today. A peaceful 30 minutes fettling in the garage, cleaning the pistons with soapy water and greasing with a dab of silicon grease. New pads in, torque up the last pad pin, and HELLO ....fucking caliper body splits where the pin screws in . A bit of corrosion must have eaten the alloy at its weakest point. So.....anyone got a RH caliper off a CBR1000RR/CBR600RR lurking about? (sorry about the swearing, but I lost my sense of humour )
